BSG Program Officer
Kaitlyn is a wildlife conservation professional based in Madrid, Spain, with a background in international program management, communications, and partnership engagement. Kaitlyn has worked across Southeast Asia and Africa, including with Orangutan Foundation International and Sun Bear Outreach in Indonesia. She holds a degree in Environmental Studies from New College of Florida and is an alum of the Emerging Wildlife Conservation Leaders program. As Program Officer for the IUCN SSC Bear Specialist Group, she contributes her global experience to support bear experts and conservation efforts worldwide.
Since 2016, Kaitlyn has led membership and programs at the Pan African Sanctuary Alliance (PASA), where she coordinates welfare and conservation initiatives across 13 African countries, supporting education, capacity building, and animal rescue through a network of 23 primate sanctuaries. Kaitlyn regularly organizes regional conferences and training workshops for African conservation leaders, helping strengthen collaboration and impact on the ground. Her passion is building connections between people and places to protect wild animals and the landscapes they call home.
